Busan tour with Suki

We were a family of three adults. This was our first visit to Busan. We booked Dylan as our guide for the July 17, 2026 Busan tour, but it was changed to Suki at the last minute notice. Suki didn’t introduce herself when we first met her. Perhaps because she waited for us from 7:30am, we didn’t get out of immigration clearance until 8:00am. We wanted to exchange our currency at the machine nearby, there was a line up. Suki helped us with the currency exchange and rushed us out of the terminal. Once inside the van, she conversed in Korean with the driver for a while before introducing herself in English. Her English was quite good. She said she is from Busan. According to Dylan’s itinerary, there were six stops - Haedong Yonggungsa temple, Jagaichi fish market, Songdo cable car, Gamcheon village, Gukje market and the International film festival square. We spent the most time at the temple and the Gamcheon village, but didn’t get to see much in others as these were just a walk through, without any highlights or point of interests provided by Suki. She brought us to lunch at a food court, we were the only one there, and she headed out to eat local street food. Since she was afraid of heights, she seemed reluctant to venture and accompany us to the Cheongsapo Daritdol skywalk and to the Songdo Marime cable car. We ended up skipping the cable car as we felt discouraged in the end. There were lots of time left and we ended up early going back to our ship. We felt Suki was sloppy and lack enthusiasm as a guide. She chatted with the driver more and the driver answered his cell phone three times while driving. We felt the Busan tour was a let down.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry that your first experience in Busan did not meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize that the guide’s introduction, communication, and overall attentiveness did not make you feel as welcomed and engaged as you should have. We also take your concern regarding the driver’s mobile phone use while driving very seriously and will address this with our team. We would just like to clarify a few points. The restaurant you visited was not a food court, but a popular local restaurant in the Nampo-dong area. Also, the Songdo Marine Cable Car was part of the itinerary, but as stated in the tour description, the cable car ticket was not included in the tour price. When the guide explained the additional ticket cost, you decided not to take the cable car. We were informed by the guide that you chose to visit Songdo Beach and the Songdo Skywalk instead. In the end, you visited Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory, Jagalchi Market, BIFF Square, Gukje Market, Gamcheon Culture Village, Songdo Beach, and Songdo Skywalk. Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory was an additional stop, so you were able to see more places than originally discussed. If you felt that the explanations at some locations were not detailed enough, we sincerely apologize. The guide was trying to make the most of your limited time in Busan and show you as many places as possible. We hope you can understand that this was her intention, although we recognize that the balance between sightseeing and providing sufficient explanations could have been better. Thank you again for your feedback. We will use it to improve the quality of our tours. Best regards, Dylan

Cruise ship visit to Busan.

Communication with Dylan prior to booking was great - timely and accurate. We agreed on customised itinerary and price prior to the tour. Jenny the guide, met us at the cruise ship terminal and was fantastic. She was able to adjust the itinerary through out the day to suit our group. She was knowledgeable and had great English.
